Iranian FM to attend UNAOC global forum in Portugal re writing

 TEHRAN – The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to visit Portugal to attend the 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and participate in discussions aimed at promoting international peace.



According to Iran’s foreign ministry, Abbas Araghchi will arrive in Portugal on Monday, November 25, to take part in the assembly and deliver a speech at the event.

The forum, centered on the theme “United in Peace: Restoring Trust, Reshaping the Future — Reflecting on Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity,” will showcase and celebrate UNAOC's achievements since its founding, while also outlining a future roadmap for “One Humanity.”

This three-day event will commence on Monday in Cascais, Portugal.

The summit was first proposed by José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, former Prime Minister of Spain, during the 59th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2005.
